Fragrance load in one paragraph

Fragrance load is the amount of fragrance oil in a candle, written as a percentage. Most US suppliers measure it against the weight of the wax, so a 10% load means 1.6 oz of oil for every pound (16 oz) of wax. Container waxes are commonly used somewhere between 6% and 10%, and some blends are rated higher. The right number depends on your wax, your fragrance and your wick, which is why test burns matter more than any chart.
